Terumichi Aoyama
Clarinet
Member of the Clarinet Quartet Ensemble Sonorité, and part-time lecturer at Nagoya University of the Arts.
After completing a music course in the Arts and Culture department at Osaka Kyoiku University, Terumichi Aoyama studied abroad at the Eastman School of Music. He has completed the exams needed to become a qualified performer. After that, he studied a postgraduate major in bass clarinet at the Royal Conservatory of Music in Antwerp, completing it with the highest grade to return home with. Member of the Clarinet Quartet Ensemble Sonorité. Aoyama has been active in a variety of fields, including making guest appearances with orchestras, working as production director of film scores like "Knitting a Boat" and "Sunrise in Vancouver." He has also conducted the Happiness Hill Wind Orchestra, and taught next generations in instrumental music at Nagoya University of Arts. He studied clarinet with Nobuaki Hamada, Hidenao Aoyama, Naohiro Wada, Kenneth Grant, and Pascal Moragues, and bass clarinet with Shusaku Shibuya and Jan Guns. In 2017, he released a CD album called, “J.S.BACH X BASS CLARINET.”
