Junji Nakayama

Nakayama was born in Gifu City, Japan. In 1998, he entered Nagoya University of Arts, and in 2003, he entered the Conservatoire Foret in Lira, France ( ). In 2004, he graduated from the Conservatoire de Paris with a unanimous first prize and returned to Japan. 2005: Debut recital at Clarazal, Manabe Memorial Hall. 2009: “Scenery of France”, a joint project with the Gifu Public Hall Management Foundation. 2011: “Scenery of France”, a joint project with the Gifu City Foundation for Public Hall Management. In 2011, he founded the saxophone lovers' ensemble group L'équipe des amis. 2012, as a member of the Nagoya Saxophone Quartet, he performed a joint concert with Yann Lemarier in Paris, France. 2015, he started the saxophone school “La Saxe School La Marie” which he runs. In 2015, he started his own saxophone school, La Porte, which is operated by . Currently, she is teaching young saxophonists as well as erforming mainly in the Tokai area. He is also a member of Crescent Company, Unita Della Saxophone, Sax quartet METEOR, and Quartet Dashing. He studied saxophone under Takashi Mikazuki, Makio Sakurai, Toshihisa Kogushi, Chiharu Lemarier, and Fabrice Moretti.Part-time lecturer at Nagoya University of Arts, Part-time lecturer at Chubu College of Musical Instrument Technology.
